This early summer period is also excellent for birdwatching, as many species are nesting, and the puffins are particularly active around the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve, a short drive away. The days are long, offering plenty of daylight for exploration.July and August offer the warmest temperatures, making them ideal for whale watching tours, hiking along the coastal trails, and enjoying the numerous outdoor activities Bay De Verde and the surrounding Baccalieu Trail have to offer.
